ABOUT THE JCS PROJECT
In 2014 founder, Tiffannie Jones, started The JCS Project: JCS stands for Just College Students. It all started when my little cousin, Taylor Jones, enrolled at Blinn College. I felt like it was my responsibility to provide for her. Having no college experience myself it fell upon my heart to start providing FREE College Care Packages to her, a few other cousins and co-workers children. What started out as 5 girls has now expanded to thousands of students receiving Free College Care Packages.
THE FOUNDER
My name is Tiffannie Jones and I am the visionary behind The JCS Project. I was born in the 5th Ward area of Houston, TX and later raised on the Southwest Side. After graduating from Robert E. Lee High School I was Blessed to find a job that I have been employed at for 20+ years. I am the proud parent of two beautiful children, Theory, a current college student and Jayse a high school student.
HONORARY BOARD MEMBERS
Since JCS is an organization that supports college students we thought it would only make sense for it to be ran by college students!
As of 2020 when JCS Ambassadors graduate they can then become apart of the board.
It is our Board Members that make the decisions and organize all the amazing events and programs we offer.
The future of JCS looks mighty bright.

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
AMBASSADORS
Every January 10+ Students are chosen to represent JCS on their various campus. Their responsibility is to promote the organization and pass our Free College Packages.
As an representative they also receive a financial scholarship.
BACK2SCHOOL COLLEGE DRIVE
Every July we pass out 100 Free College Care Packages to Houston Students before they go off to school. This event is in partnership with the Simply Helping Foundation and Paper Pencil Pen. This way students will get 3 packages from 3 organizations that consist of snacks, school supplies, toiletries and personal items.
CAMPUS TOUR
Every August thru May JCS and SHF drives to different campuses, set up and pass out 100 Free College Care Packages at each location. Over the years we have attended Prairie View A&M University, Texas Southern University, University of Houston Main and Downtown, Sam Houston State University, University of North Texas, University of Texas in Austin and San Antonio, Texas A&M University, Dillard University, Grambling State University, Xavier University and Southern University at New Orleans.
